a drink called "Straight-8"  =  "Rivikasi" in Finnish

 

I developed this drink a few years ago, and now want to share it. This is a sweet drink, so if Gin Tonic is your favorite, this may not be for you. Some of the ingredients  may not not be available outside of Scandinavian and Baltic countries. Should international quests stop by at our place, I'd be happy to serve this drink!

STRAIGHT-EIGHT  alias  RIVIKASI Ingredients: 3/4 oz (20 cl) of Vana Tallinn (Estonian herb liqueur) 3/4 oz (20 cl) of Dark Rhum (I prefer honey-flavored rhum) 3/4 oz (20 cl) of Vodka (to add some bite) Pour everything in a tall glass, add plenty of ice, and fill with Pommac (light or regular, doesn't matter) This drink can be varied indefinitely, as long as you use Vana Tallinn as the main ingredient and Pommac as the mixer. You can try brandy or something else in place of the rhum or vodka, or leave either one or both out of the mix alltogether. Sometimes I replace the rhum with Galliano, to add a flavor of vanilla. Serve cold and enjoy.
