| The 2000 annual CROC Race Day was held July 1, again at the Ahvenisto race track. This time my best lap was 7 seconds quicker than last year, yet nothing to brag about. The last winter mods, prepped-up front end together with a 1" rear sway bar provided much better and predictable handling and cornering characteristis. If I only had the money for decent rubber and 16" wheels (in case you were wondering, they don't make WIDE high performance tires for 15" wheels anymore) |  |

Meet Mr Raul Uhs - our special guest from Estonia. Raul, together with his wife, came all the way from Estonia just to attend this event. It appears there are no Cobras in Estonia yet, but after a couple of laps down the track, Raul thought he must do something about it ! |
These shots are from last year ('99) at the Burnout Party, where my best ET was 13.765, at a trap speed of 167.44 km/h. It remains as my record so far. |

The reason for this picture to be on this
page is to demonstrate the idea of owning a and racing a TRUE street car. The
morning we drove to the "Burnout Party" with my friend, it was raining
during the first 100 kilometers.
We did not see any other race cars on our way, except for one on a trailer. Nor did we change slicks or remove mufflers - in fact, we didn't make any changes but took our picnic basket out of trunk! We just drove there, made the best passes ever and drove back, and HAD FUN ALL DAY doing it! P.S. Don't buy a ragtop with zip-in sidescreens from Europa Specialist Spares. I did, and had to fiddle with the bows and fabricate completely new sidescreens. Oh yes - and the polycarbon wind deflectors are actually made of acrylic... |
